Welcome to GOSMA churches in Uganda. We are a community based church focused on fulfilling the great commission by spreading the gospel to the whole world through holistic spiritual and physical human transformation.

HISTORY OF GOSMA

Founders of GOSMA

Gospel of Salvation to all Mankind (GOSMA) Churches was founded by a group of evangelists led by Pastor David Njawuzi (late), Pastor Erias Kaddu (late), and Pastor Kakande John Paul on the 7th of February 1989 following evangelism crusades held in Masaka town.

Through continuous evangelism and discipleship programmes, the ministry has expanded to 38 branch churches in parts of Western, Central and Southern Uganda. The headquarters of GOSMA churches is located at Plot 16 – 18 Kyewalyanga street, Masaka city.

MISSION

GOSMA churches is a partnership of believers collaborating to preach the gospel of salvation to all mankind as commissioned by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ thus contributing to holistic human transformation and development.

PURPOSE

GOSMA churches aims to tell the Good News of salvation through evangelism and discipleship thereby meeting physical and spiritual needs of mankind especially the most vulnerable children (girls and boys), helpless elderly individuals of the third generation, the disabled, terminally ill women and men, the poorest of the poor plus all categories of needy households in the community.

VISION

In obedience to the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, GOSMA churches will cooperate with other bodies that pursue similar objectives to preach the gospel of salvation to all mankind.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER AGENCIES

The GOSMA churches which being a self administering national body in Uganda, nevertheless, recognizes its mutual spiritual relationship with all churches and ministries of like faith.

ADMINISTRATION/ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

The ministry is managed by Supreme Elders Council (SEC) and several District Elders Councils through the administrative arms including the General overseer as the overall overseer, the District overseers and the zone leaders. These leaders serve with the Board of Trustees giving the oversight role.

LEGALITY OF GOSMA CHURCHES

GOSMA CHURCHES is a registered Non Government Organization (NGO) in Uganda. The Organization was initially registered in 1989 as GOSMA ministries (Certificate of Incorporation) and in 2008 the names was changed from GOSMA ministries to GOSMA churches (certificate of change of name). The aim was to reflect the fundamentals of the organization activities and these are the churches established through evangelism. These churches are the tools used in achieving the objectives of the organization and hence the name GOSMA CHURCHES.

SOME OBJECTIVES OF GOSMA CHCHES

  1. To conduct gospel crusades, conferences, conventions, seminars, etc.
  2. To properly teach, train and ordain believers in scriptural practices.
  3. To equip, commission and ordain pastors, teachers, evangelists and ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  4. To establish education services including primary schools, vocational schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions.
  5. To increase access to health services in the community by opening health centers.
  6. To institute and operate such institutions of charity as orphanages, old age homes, missionary houses, literacy programs and guest houses.
  7. To cater for orphans, the poor and needy spiritually and materially.
  8. To build various structures for ministry enhancement and non-denominational centers for all people of different origins for reasons not contrary to the Christian faith.
  9. Promote evangelism to disseminate the gospel of Jesus Christ at local and international levels through radio broadcasts, television, videos, films, pamphlets, internet, books, tracts, public evangelical rallies, and crusades, plays, music, newspapers and any other usable form or material.
  10. Create bookshops for Christian literature.
  11. To establish self-governing GOSMA churches all over Uganda and the whole of the world after the New Testament pattern and to exercise parental oversight/supervision over them.
  12. To establish a printing plant for carrying out all printing works for materials conducive to spreading the gospel.
  13. To establish and operate audio/visual recording and photography studios for the purpose of recording all kinds of Christian works for cassettes, videos, televisions, films, etc., conducive to the spreading of the gospel.
  14. To provide for spiritual training and fellowship of the church, leaders, women, marrieds, singles, children and youth of Uganda and the whole world through Sunday schools, camps, clubs, conferences and other programs.
  15. To solicit missionaries and partners to come and assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects, departments or any other particular assignments as may be determined by GOSMA churches.
  16. To employ experts, advisers, coordinators, administrators and others for the objectives aforesaid.
  17. To co-operate and also apply to any international body, government or branch authorities, non-government organizations, national bodies or public organizations, corporations, companies or persons for and to accept grants of money, land, donations, gifts, subscriptions and other assistance with view of promoting the objectives of GOSMA churches. However, the objectives of such partners shall not in any way contradict the faith and objectives of GOSMA churches.
